It was the peak of peony season when I saw this Isaac Mizrahi dress that was absolutely to die for. The use of khaki colored linen with airy tulle inspired me to use delicate peonies and rough burlap to emulate it. The wonderful Pam Scott shot this table top at the Santaluz Country Club , a gorgeous and peaceful venue for romantic wedding. Swatches of burlap and raw linen wrapped vases and functioned as place mats for subtle texture, while white phalaenopsis orchids gave luxurious dimension. Earthy details like the wooden frame and kukui nuts were on each place setting while fluffy peony pomanders hovered over the table. My ode to the dress was the bride and groom chair, which had sand colored canvas as the bust and tulle intertwined with peonies as the skirt. Thank you Pam for all your fantastic photos!
