We had a fantastic year with many great weddings. Amongst those weddings, purple stood out as a popular trend for many brides, and I can see why. It’s a striking color that can be either fun and flirty, or refined and elegant. Boldly colored bouquets of orchids, roses, and calla lilies are great for that punch of color during your ceremony. Flowing centerpieces of fuchsia phalaenopsis, purple anemone, lilac, and lavender roses fit the bill for a festive wedding. We also created a chic Parisian tabletop with black feathers and crystal jewels (for more, click here). Purple combined with other contrasting colors of reds and greens makes a dramatic impact, like the vintage-inspired wedding we did that the Hotel Del. Or an opulent, yet subtle wedding of all white flowers and amethyst linens at La Estancia and La Valencia. I’m head over heels for the sleek silk board menus, created by Jennifer of Simply Posh Design. Photos courtesy of Darin Fong and Pam Scott.
