Nestled in a villa at the rustic Santaluz Country Club, we designed this tabletop to be intimate and comforting. Gnarled grape wood gets a makeover with blush colored blooms and succulents. Textural white lilac, cascading tulips, and David Austin roses look as if they’re growing from the wood. Vintage candelabras and an antique frame perfectly compliment the warm atmosphere. My favorite part, a luxurious throw and plush pillows to get cozy with your husband to be. Thank you Joseph Matthew Photography for the fantastic photos!
San Francisco has a special place in my heart for its phenomenal restaurants, flower market, and talented event designer, Nancy Lui Chin. I’m now a even bigger fan of her blog, Nancy’s Brown Bag, after her feature of our Vintage Candy Station. Take a look at her captivating blog for tons of eye candy and inspiration. Thank you Nancy!
The W Hotel stood for ‘winning’ at Carolyn and Canh’s modern and edgy wedding. Her love of all things glamorous and purple were combined with his contemporary eye for a sleek and festive soiree, dripping with details. Let’s start with her bouquet: a clean and chic gathering of white parrot tulips and calla lilies, all hand wired into a jewel encrusted handle. Each of her bridesmaids bouquets showcased a different drop-dead-goregous flowers. My jaw drops every time I lay eyes on these stunning vanda orchids and richly textured black parrot tulips.
If you’ve never been to Beach, rooftop at The W, you must go. The sand filled floor brings the coastal vibe of San Diego to the high-rises of downtown. Contemporary acrylic boxes filled with glasses vessels of submerged orchids and cascading bouquets lined the ceremony aisle. Against a backdrop of sleek chiffon were two acrylic columns, where Carolyn and Canh exchanged their vows. Guests were greeted to an escort card table of intriguing botanical specimens, eclectic vases, and black frames that tried their best show off Clark Little’s amazing print.
The Great Ballroom was illuminated by glowing centerpieces and purple uplighting. Each table was decorated with various vessels of cymbidium orchids, purple calla lilies, and cascading tulips. Swanky black crystals hung from every bouquet, while darling jeweled tassels embellished the votives. It was a delight working with Molly Stark of Tres Chic Affairs. Thank you Trevor Vieweg for the marvelous photos! Congratulations Carolyn and Canh!!!
What’s better than drinking champagne with your girls on a Sunday afternoon? Drinking champagne for your bridal shower and being surrounded by all your favorite purple flowers! We kicked off Carolyn’s bridal shower in posh purple fashion, with a chic candy bar station, glamorous crystal details, and darling sugar scrub favors. The ladies sipped their wine around a centerpiece composed of various Spring time bouquets. Stay tuned for Carolyn and Canh’s upcoming wedding photos. I’ll give you a hint…it’s her favorite color.
When the St. Regis Deer Valley asked us to decorate their table at the US Grant Bridal Show, I was beyond excited. We took branches of birch wood and anointed them with clusters of succulents, moss, and spring time blooms. Bouquets of tulips, elegant orchids, and darling sweet peas add dimension to this clean and chic take on the organic rustic look. Jennifer of Simply Posh Design created gorgeous menus that perfectly complimented the natural and updated tablescape. How would this table be complete without and deer skin rug and mahogany furniture from Platinum Pro. Thank you Pam Scott Photography for the exquisite photos!

Kelly and Michael’s wedding was full of delicious details, I couldn’t fit it all into one post! Their magical day started at the Prado Balboa Park, where they exchanged their vows alongside a wishing well draped in a luscious yellow garland. Guests arrived at Thomas Bui’s fabulous home to find a long feast table lined with flowers in eclectic vases. Parrot tulips, David Austin roses, billy balls, and dusty miller is enough to get any girl all hot and bothered. I love these rustic tables provided by Platinum Pro! Paying tribute to Kelly’s heritage, was a runner constructed out of Italian maps and book pages. Her grandmother’s milk glass, vintage cake stands, and antique books were darling props that gave the table charming character. Pam Scott Photography did a terrific job capturing all the unique details that made this wedding so special. Thanks to Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings, each guest enjoyed themselves in perfect vintage style. Congratulations Kelly and Michael!!!
The long awaited Spring/Summer issue of Exquisite Magazine is out and we couldn’t be happier that one of our weddings was featured! Kelly and Michael’s special day was full of unique and personal details, thanks to Kelly’s stylish eye. When I met with this gorgeous bride, she pulled out a case of Pellegrino bottles, vintage vases, and Italian maps or inspiration. The rest was whimsical, love-filled history. Blue, green, and yellow were to be the main colors, with touches of peach to make things really pop. We took her love for billy balls, silver cone, dusty miller, and all flowers “ruffley” and created a charming and intimate wedding. For her bouquet, we used a combination of David Austin roses, parrot tulips, peony tulips, and orchids to create a unstructured and free form bouquet. It’s always a pleasure working with the delightful Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings. Thank you Bethani Montgomery for the stunning photos! Stay tuned for more juicy photos of their darling wedding…
Peacock feathers always have a way of tickling my fancy. It this case, they were paired with teal satin dress, brown cymbidium orchids, and organic succulents. Rosie was a gorgeous bride who loved vintage details. We added an antique brooch to her bouquet and finished with handle with lace to match her stunning lace dress. Delicate wisps of ostrich feathers and ruffled cattleya orchids created a nature inspired clutch. Rust colored orchids and blooming succulents were a marvelous contrast to the bridesmaids stunning teal dresses. The groomsmen look especially dapper in vests adorned with brown and teal cymbidium orchids. Luke created a perfect combination of casual and cool with a sleek grey suit, brown skinny tie, and succulent boutonniere. Thank you Dorothy Huynh Photography for the fantastic photos!
